Recent Political Marketing Work
DAVID.MARKET is an agency for all creative brands. Nimble, intuitive, and diversely skilled, we’ve been able to pivot our strengths to suit a variety of clients. One facet of our work has been in the political arena, working with select NYC-based clients. We previously wrote about our work with NYC Council candidate (now Council Member!) Alexa Avilés in the spring of 2021. We would also like to share a little about our work with the Brandon West for City Council and Brittany Ramos DeBarros for Congress campaigns.

West’s campaign was for NYC Council in District 39, comprising Park Slope, Kensington, Carroll Gardens, and other surrounding neighborhoods. DAVID.MARKET was retained to help equip the West team with the digital infrastructure necessary to run a successful campaign in 2022, during a worldwide pandemic no less. We helped style and direct an important photoshoot, designed Mailchimp templates and set up audience segmentation, created social media posts, and used an in-depth interview process to create a social media and voice guide for volunteers and campaign staff. We also worked on establishing PPC ad infrastructure, some print work, and website optimization.
This past summer, we worked with another exciting political campaign, the “Brittany for the People” federal campaign in NY’s 11th congressional district, which covers all of Staten Island and some of South Brooklyn. We worked to help candidate Ramos DeBarros and her campaign staff build out and refine the digital infrastructure necessary to run a successful campaign in a hotly contested district in 2022. This involved developing and managing Facebook and Instagram political ad targeting, copy, and creative; establishing cross-platform web analytics and ROI analysis; building out email targeting, segmentation, and strategy; managing Twitter fundraising and GCN vendor lists, and we handled Wix website optimization and maintenance. We also helped the campaign with a large, end-of-quarter fundraising initiative, helping to show viability and equip them for a federal campaign’s high costs.
